Whenever we are faced with the desperate customer and a proverbial sentence: “It was working yesterday” we always follow this same recipe.
Before you start be 100% sure that all the important data is saved somewhere else. Cloud storage is absolutely the best place.

Out of the box, Office 2013 is designed to integrate seamlessly with the cloud – just as long as it’s Microsoft’s OneDrive service.
Note: Windows 10 is supported too.
Adding Dropbox to Office
If you use other cloud services such as Dropbox or Google Drive you can obviously browse to your local folders in the Open and Save As dialog s but you cannot Add a Place (other than the two Microsoft services) to Office’s open and save dialog s.
This means that every time you use the Open or Save As dialog, you have to browse the computer to access your Dropbox’s folders. Of course, you can pin frequently used files but why not just have your cloud services available to you whenever you use an Office 2013 product? Obviously, Microsoft isn’t going to include competing cloud services into Office for you, but that doesn’t prevent you from adding them yourself.
After a little searching, we discovered a neat little script for adding cloud services such as Dropbox and Google Drive directly to Office.
First you need to download this tiny batch file. Your browser will probably tell you the file is potentially dangerous so you will need to tell it to keep it.
Once you’ve got the file, browse to its location and double-click on it. When prompted, input your Dropbox’s local path and hit Enter. The script will then add Dropbox to Office 2013 and you’re almost done.
Next step is to actually add the Dropbox service to your Office installation. To do this, open the Account options and look under Connected Services –> Add a Service -> Storage. Choose the service you want to add. In this case we want to add Dropbox.
And that’s it, now every time you use an Office application, you will see your Dropbox listed in the Open and Save As screens.
If you ever want to remove a service, you can simply return to the Connected Services section in the Account screen and click Remove next to the service you no longer want.
We’ve found this is an excellent way to integrate popular cloud services into Office 2013 quickly and almost effortlessly.
There is one small drawback, if you want to add cloud services to all your Office installations, you will have to run the batch file separately on each machine and for each Office account. But, this takes all but a few minutes especially if you simply save the script to a removable flash drive, network location, or your Dropbox, and then run it as needed.
You’re not limited to Dropbox either, there’s also a script available for Google Drive and Microsoft also provides complete instructions on integrating any cloud storage service into Office 2013.
What is the Dropbox badge?
When you first see the Dropbox badge, a greeting notification appears. To dismiss this notification, you can either click on the badge or complete the “Learn More” tutorial.
The badge appears on any Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, or Excel file saved in your Dropbox. The badge gives you easy access to some of the best Dropbox features:
- See who is viewing or editing a file. The badge will show the picture or initials of other Dropbox for Business users when they are viewing or making edits to the file you have open. That way you can avoid creating separate versions of the file.
- Update to the latest version of a file. If someone saves a new version of a file while you’re working on it, the badge will help you instantly update to their version.
- Instantly share the file you’re working on. Click Share a link and a link to the file will be copied to your clipboard. Paste that link in an email, chat, or elsewhere to send the file securely to anyone.
- Ask for feedback or contibutions on a file. Click Comment to make a note on a file from the Dropbox website.
- View file history to find content you changed or deleted. Click View File History to undo changes and restore a previous version of the file.
- Move the badge. You can click and drag the badge anywhere along the border of your files.
- Work better on Microsoft Office files. The badge currently supports Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel on Mac and Windows devices. For Windows, it supports 2007, 2010, and 2013 Office files. For Mac, it supports 2011 Office files.

Note: For files saved in Compatibility Mode (.xls, .ppt, .doc), the Dropbox badge will not show when another person is viewing the file and it won’t prompt you to update to the latest version of the file. To ensure the badge is reporting accurately, please use Save As to save files in a non-Compatibility Mode file format (.xlsx, .pptx, .docx).

Understand there is no any other way
You have to go to this page and you have to sign in with your Microsoft ID. (hotmail.com or live.com, email account). There is no other way. Any other Office 2013 iso , obtained in some other way is not going to exhibit evaluation mode behavior described here.
After you sign in above using your Microsoft ID, you will be asked to register to continue.

After you hit “Continue” you will be asked about the language in which you require you Office 2013 eval to be.
Click “Continue” and long(er) download of Office 2013 equipped with licence key made for you, immediately begins.
At this instance, depending on the quality of your line you might see this:
Your download is doing just fine regardless of this message. You just have to leave this screen on until download has finished. In unlikely case it does not finish, click the “Download” button above. File to be downloaded is up to 700 MB in size.
Upon download finish in your download folder you will find:
where “en-us” is a language code. If you have opted for other than English (US) your file name will be different for that part.

Are we out of the woods? Not yet.
Obviously at this point, you have learnt how to mount an img file and you have done that and started a Office 2013 setup routine. And the very first screen is a particular problem for someone who has previous version of office installed on the same machine.
If you click “Upgrade” here and you happen to have Office 2010 (for example) on the same machine it will be upgraded to 2013 and you will be asked to pay for the price of upgrade, after evaluation period, of Office 2013 Eval you are trying out, has expired. And there is no way out of there.
So, you better click “Customize”. And click on “Keep all previous versions”.
After this I always click in the “Installation Options” TAB where I make sure I install only the part s of Office, I will use.
I am sure by now you are more than capable to finish this installation. But wait, there is more!
